Industrial Uses
Fumaric acid is used in the chemical synthesis of:
-Vinyl acetate and Vinylidene chloride copolymers, used to manufacture paper and carton for food packaging.
- Styren-butadiene made Latex for paints, enamel for paper and cardboard, adhesives and carpet backing.
- Modified alquidic resins (maleic)
- Acidulant solutions and buffers derived from different chemical processes
